A Text From God

When my phone vibrates I immediately look to see who sent the text. Is it from Kristy or one of the kids? Is it from someone at church? Is it good news? Is everything ok? No matter the answer to these questions, I always read the text and respond. I’m sure you respond to several text messages every day as well.
God has sent each of us a text message. Maybe you read it on your phone or iPad or from the pages of your favorite Bible, like I do. No matter how you read it, the important thing is that you read God’s text. Unlike any other text you read, God’s text has the ability to shape and mold you into the Christian God desires you to be. As Christians, we need to read God’s text. God’s text provides us comfort, strength and wisdom to handle any situation life brings. I need God’s text, because reading God’s text challenges me and leads me to grow spiritually.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work”(II Tim.3:16-17).
