"A Life of Worship"

March 06, 2020 | By Chuck

As a Christian I love and look forward to Sunday morning worship. That most precious time of the week is the most vital for me as it encourages and motivates me to spiritual maturity and faithfulness. Every Christian needs the Sunday morning worship assembly with the saints. We need the excitement and we need the edification from the Word and the songs to fill our tank and prepare us for the rest of the week. Our goal should be to carry our Sunday worship experience over into the rest of our week and into our everyday lives. Christians should strive to live a life of worship.
James, in his little epistle to persecuted Jewish Christians, explains what a life of worship looks like. James covers a variety of everyday practical Christian living principles that will help us to live a life of worship. Living a life of worship is about living out our faith every single day of our lives. It’s about stretching that Sunday feeling through Saturday night. It’s about being purposeful in our faith journey and being doers, not just talkers. It is my prayer, that from our Wednesday night Bible study of James with Cory and our Sunday morning sermon series through James, that you will learn what it means to live a life of worship and do it.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves”(Jas.1:22).
