“God Forgives”

Posted on: January 24th, 2019 by Chuck Ball 1 Comment

We’ve all done things we regret. In fact, some live with guilt every day because of a sin they committed. The positive aspect of guilt is that it lets us know we did wrong. But, unresolved guilt is never a positive thing. To live in guilt on a daily basis will hinder one’s spiritual growth. King David lived in guilt over his sin with Bathsheba until he acknowledged his sin to God. “I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin”(Psalm 32:5).
The best news of all is that God forgives. No matter where you’ve been and what you’ve done, God forgives. I know you and I know our sins better than anyone and that’s why we struggle with guilt. We overcome guilt by knowing and believing that God forgives. The interesting thing is that God so desperately wants to forgive us that He shed the blood of His Son on the cross for our redemption. “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace”(Eph.1:7).
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you”(Eph.4:32).

I know what it’s like to be guilty and feel like I fell but I don’t put it that way because Jesus died on the cross for our sins to be forgiven I know we’re all human were all going to make mistakes and I have my share of story on that you know but that’s why we try not to let Satan in to destroy everything we have I know I had to wake up call a couple weeks ago I’m crying as I’m writing this believe it or not I’m going to really learn more about the faith in about God I’m taking Faith Bible Institute for 3 years and I know that’s the best thing right now for my family because it’s so hard in my family because I’m the only one doing this so maybe they can look at me and say I’m trying to change and be the person I can influence for them remove all the wrongdoing for myself as I repent and ask God to forgive me in to be with me and to work step by step by side me and hold my hand because I don’t want to hold the Satan’s hand I want to hold my heavenly father’s hand up above I love my Lord savior because I know if I died today I know on a shadow of a doubt I’m going to heaven cuz I’ve been saved I’ve been I know my Lord personal saver I am so proud and happy I have a wonderful Church home and family for three years now January was three years I’ve been going to Cabot Church of Christ
